SMITH is an American eyewear brand founded by Bob Smith, a dentist and avid skier. One of its key attractions is its design, which makes it suitable for everyday use while offering high versatility and reliable performance for a wide range of sports.
It has been announced that Yu Imaizumi, designer of “Ayame,” will take on the role of director of “Smith” in Japan. The exhibition featured new items scheduled for release in December and models not yet available in Japan, as well as the following eight styles selected by Imaizumi.
The temples feature lenses as a design element, and ventilation is built in to prevent the lenses from fogging up. While incorporating trendy shapes and color schemes, the design also includes clever features sure to appeal to gear enthusiasts. Now that it’s becoming increasingly common to wear sports eyewear in everyday life, this is definitely an item worth checking out.
By incorporating new perspectives to better align with Japanese fashion and lifestyle trends, the brand’s potential will expand. Going forward, the brand is scheduled to be carried not only at sports retail chains but also at select shops throughout Japan.
