Last Resort AB and Akio Hasegawa. These two masters of minimalism have released their long-awaited collaboration. These shoes are incredibly comfortable to wear.

〈Last Resort AB〉, a skate shoe brand based in Stockholm, Sweden, focuses on simple design and functionality as skate shoes.

Akio Hasegawa, who works as a stylist and fashion director, is drawn to the clean, simple aesthetic of and frequently incorporates the brand into his styling.

Their relationship, born from a shared sense of aesthetics, has continued for several years, and has now culminated in the release of the collaborative model, “Last Resort AB STYLED BY A.H.”

This is more than just a slight change in fabric or color—it’s a pair of shoes in which Mr. Hasegawa’s aesthetic sensibility is evident in every detail.

First, by removing one lace hole from the base model, the “VM001-MID,” the shoe gives the impression of being a low-top, even though it’s actually a mid-top.

The tongue is approximately three times as thick as that of the standard model, and the collar and tongue lining are made of soft, comfortable French terry (pile) fabric.

The upper also features a chino fabric not used in the Inline collection, pairing a navy upper with an off-white sole.

In addition, to mark this collaboration, Last Resort AB’s “Little AB” icon has been reimagined in a special design exclusive to A.H. This original icon is featured on a patch on the tongue and on the heel.

Two pairs of extra shoelaces are included: one in a navy shade that matches the upper, and another in a different shade of navy.

The most striking feature of these sneakers is that, even though a lot of work went into them, you wouldn’t know it at all. They’re a pair of shoes that could only have been created by Mr. Hasegawa, who loves and respects Inline.

It will go on sale tomorrow, Sunday, November 8, 2026, exclusively in Japan.
