SNOW SHOVELING, a bookstore and gallery in Komazawa, and "BRICK & MORTARZINE SONIC, an event co-hosted for the past three years by "ZINE SONIC" to sell both domestic and international zines.
The event has been held in NEW YORK and PORTLAND, with a focus on TOKYO in 2016, but this year, the fourth edition, will change the perspective and focus on "MAKE ZINE.
The store will feature zines from New York purchased by Snow Showbeling, as well as fresh items from zine makers in Japan.
The centerpiece of this year's event will be a "ZINE BAR," not a "SALAD BAR. A booth where visitors can make their own zines on the spot will be set up permanently during the exhibition period, with an array of paper, collage materials, and other materials necessary for zine making. If you are inspired by the exhibition and think, "I want to try that too," you can give shape to your initial impulse on the spot.
Last year's popular zine "push" will also be held during the weekend. In addition to that, there will be a new "ROOKIE A DO-DO" booth this year, and like the ( event name, they don't mind naming it. ) They are looking for exhibitors to jump in and exhibit during the event.
On November 18, ( Sat. ), there will be a talk show by Shuichi Nakamura, owner of "" Snowshoveling, and zine makers, and live music by the "Brick and Mortar" staff, so why not come and feel the late fall breeze?
