A knitwear brand produced in the Ryomo district of the northern Kanto region, where the textile industry has long flourished.YASHIKIThe brand is based in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Patterns and details that evoke the landscape and culture of Ishikawa Prefecture, the designer's hometown, are incorporated into the knitwear, expressing the scenes and local feeling of the area through simple and elegant craftsmanship.
This season's theme is "HAKUSAN," which is associated with the designer, and the changing scenery of the Hakusan mountains and the landscapes that people have seen are incorporated into warm winter knitwear as the image source.

Wadachi Knit ¥32,000+TAX
This knit was inspired by the "ruts" that form after a car passes on a freshly fallen snow-covered road. Based on a fisherman's knit, the original rope knit pattern is interwoven with the brand's iconic Yagasuri pattern to express ruts.
This item combines the landscape of the snow country with the essence of the fisherman, the designer's roots in his grandfather, a fisherman.

The plaiting knitting technique, in which different yarns are knitted on the front and back sides of the garment, is used to create a deeper look by changing the colors on the front and back sides of the garment.

Utsuroi Mohair Knit ¥33,000+TAX
The other knitwear is inspired by the surface of mountains, which show various expressions depending on the "changing" of the seasons. The mohair is raised to represent mountain trees, with images of fresh greenery, autumn leaves, and fallen leaves.

The mohair is raised by artisans who have become few in number in the Kanto region, and is raised by using dried florastisel, a plant commonly known as "thistle hair".

The shoulders are not raised, and the base of the sleeves are knitted with a different yarn to give a fuller silhouette. This rich and delicate expression can be said to be a unique feature.

The soft silhouette when worn is an homage to the kimono pattern that is a Yashiki staple. While it certainly has individuality, it never goes too far in the direction of eccentricity or outlandishness. Why not choose a piece with a solid philosophy?
