Young musicians such as Suchmos, never young beach, and WONK, who profess a deep love for artists from across the ocean and candidly incorporate their influences into their own sound-making, have dominated the scene in the past year or two, attracting attention for their deep knowledge of music and stylish outfits. They have taken the scene by storm in the past year or two.
Now that the focus of attention is on bands of the next generation that have a somewhat independent attitude, we would like to recommend the following artists to early-earning listeners.MELRAW.This is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Kohei Ando, a supporting member of WONK, who is versatile on multiple instruments including saxophone, trumpet, and guitar.
An up-and-coming music label with WONK, "epistrophMELRAW has announced the release of its debut album "Pilgrim" on December 6 (Wed.), and although it is still a mystery, the musicians who will participate in the album include Ryohu from KANDYTOWN, Dyypride (ex. SIMI LAB), and Sara Yoshida from MONKURU, Dyypride (ex. SIMI LAB), and Sarara Yoshida from Monunkuru, to name a few. This is a promising lineup.
