The brand is also known for its close relationship with art, having expressed a "fusion of art and fashion" in its collections in the past.
FURLA has launched the "FURLA Art Patronage Charity," a project aimed at supporting art. The proceeds from the sale of bags made in collaboration with celebrities will be donated to the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Shinagawa, Tokyo, and a free event "FURLA FREE DAY" will be held at the museum next year.
The 10 collaborators are Ayumi Hamasaki (singer), Daichi Miura (fashion director), Emi Suzuki (model), Hina Kojima (TV personality), Jean Philippe Delorme (illustrator), Mai Miyake (artist), Maki Tamaru (actress/model), Mari Natsuki, Nicolai Bergman (floral artist), and Laura (model/TV personality/actress). Each of them customized the METROPOLIS bag, Furla's signature bag, as their canvas.
