I am ashamed to confess that I thought that all of Shion Miura's works, including "Funa wo Henimu," which meticulously depicts people's passion for dictionaries, were centered on human conscience and passion.
However, those who can depict human light may also be able to freely depict darkness at the same time.

One of Shion Miura's works, "Light," which thoroughly depicts the darkness of human beings and has earned a special reputation among her fans, has finally been made into a movie by director Tatsushi Omori of the "Sayonara Gorge" and "Mahoro Ekimae" series.
The cast of actors is truly magnificent. The madness and monstrousness of Arata Iura and Eita, who have long wanted to compete with each other, and the sexiness and motherhood of Kyoko Hasegawa and Manami Hashimoto, emit a passionate passion that seems to be absorbed into the screen. In particular, Manami Hashimoto's bed scene, although an overused expression, is literally a physical performance, and it shows the strength of the actress Manami Hashimoto.
~STORY~.
Mihama Island, a remote island in Tokyo. Nobuyuki, a junior high school student, is spending his days feeling stagnant amidst record-breaking heat. The younger Suke (Eita), who adores Nobuyuki (Arata Iura), has been severely abused by his father. With his beautiful girlfriend Mika (Kyoko Hasegawa), his days revolve around her. One night, Nobuyuki sees Mihana being raped by a man at the place where he has arranged to meet her. Nobuyuki then kills the man to save Mihana. That night, an unreasonable, unrelenting, and overwhelming force, a tsunami, strikes the island, obliterating everything. The only survivors, besides Nobuyuki, are Mihana, Sukesuke, and a group of unremarkable adults. Twenty-five years later, they are separated from the island, and the sins of the past come back to haunt them. Nobuyuki lives with his wife and child as a good father, while Mika has left her past behind and continues to live greedily in the glamorous world of show business. Mihana, on the other hand, has abandoned her past and continues to live greedily in the glamorous world of show business.

Music will be by Jeff Mills and this will be another topic of interest.
The physical music and feverish acting create a synergistic effect that pulls the audience into a world of madness at once. The feeling is reminiscent of a sleepless night in the tropics, which cannot be wiped out no matter how hard you try. This is a film that should be seen with an open mind.
