Since its debut in 1992, SILENT POETS has been featured in international music and fashion magazines and has released numerous compilation albums; since 2001, it has been a solo unit of Tokyo-based DJ and producer Noriharu Shimoda.
In the course of their long career, SILENT POETS, who have worked with many apparel brands and have strong ties to the fashion scene, will release their long-awaited new album "dawn" on February 7, 2018 (Wednesday) to mark the 25th anniversary of their debut.
This is the first original album in 12 years, and features Addis Pablo, who inherits the spirit of legendary melodica player Augustus Pablo. The album features a collection of unique artists that transcends genres, generations, and national borders, including the NTT Docomo commercial song "Tokyo" featuring rapper 5lack, and the ultimate Balearic number "Simple" featuring Daigo Sakuragi, vocalist for the young band D.A.N.
