Have you heard of Low End Theory®, one of the best parties in LA that has produced Flying Lotus and Thundercat, and whose fans include Radiohead's Thom Yorke and James Blake? This event, which attracts artists from all over the world, is coming to Japan on Sunday, January 14.
Low End Theory® is the originator of the hip-hop-based, bass-heavy electronic beat trend. The event has been leading the beat music scene for the past 11 years since its inception, with the three resident DJs, D-Styles and DJ Nobody, led by the event's founder, Daddy Kev.
Guests include LA dreamscape beat maker TEEBS, who has shared many stages with us. Support will be provided by Japanese beatmakers who have made a strong impression on stages in their home country, including Fumitake Tamura a.k.a Bun, daisuke tanabe, and Seiho, all of whom were invited by organizer Daddy Kev. Please see the last image for the full list of participants.
As the title suggests, this is a special day with "low-end" heavy bass. Isn't it kind of cool that the doors open at 4:00 p.m. so that more young people can experience this sound? Let your own musical experience be turned upside down by the gorgeous DJ play that you will never be able to experience again.
