The Golden Globe Awards are the race for the Academy Awards. The Golden Globe Awards were announced just a few days ago, and this year's winner in four categories, the largest number of awards given out this year, was the Golden Globe winner for the filmthree billboardsThe film is a film about a man and his family. The much-talked-about film, which also won the Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival, a prelude to the Academy Awards, will be released in Japan on February 1 (Thursday).
The Best Actress in a Leading Role - Drama category for this film was won by Frances McDormand. Yes, she played that police officer in the movie "Fargo".
~STORY~.
Mildred, angry that her beloved daughter has been murdered for months with no sign of the murderer being apprehended, sets up three huge billboards on the outskirts of town to protest against the incompetent police. A dispute between the police and Mildred, who finds this offensive, takes the situation in an unexpected direction.
The script, artwork, and other aspects of this film are outstanding, but the actors are also excellent.

Take, for example, Frances McDormand, who stars in the film. In the play, she plays a stubborn woman to the bone, dressed in a jumpsuit, her battle uniform, from start to finish. While radiating strength, stubbornness, and fearlessness, she also occasionally shows a sense of love and loss for her murdered daughter. The range of her performance, including such subtlety, is astonishing.

Woody Harrelson as the police chief and Sam Rockwell as the violent officer are also superb. In fact, everyone in the film makes you feel as if they were actually there, rather than acting.

The story is about the murder of a daughter, and various taboos, such as discrimination against blacks and sexual violence, appear in various forms in the story and in someone's words. However, humor and silliness are sprinkled throughout the film, making it not only hard-hitting but also a solid entertainment for the viewer.

This work depicts various aspects of human beings that cannot be easily divided into good and evil. The characters you initially think are like this reveal a new side as the story progresses, and your impression of them gradually changes. This complex characterization is what sets this film apart from ordinary films.
If you want to see an overwhelming human drama, you'll be hard pressed to find a film that can match this one, opening Thursday, February 1. Enjoy two hours of profound and light-hearted drama.
