A new landmark in Shibuya that opened last year, "TRUNK(HOTEL)." As you know, in addition to its role as a hotel that offers a luxurious lodging experience, it also attracts attention as a nightlife venue, with music events and parties held every day.
The hotel's out-of-the-box style and outlandishly stylish interior are the talk of the town, and we have focused our coverage on a different aspect of TRUNK(HOTEL).
This is a two-part Series on "TRUNK(HOTEL)" 【FOCUS IT. This time, we present the "Coffee Edition.

What we would like you to discover is the "TRUNK(BAR)" in the lounge on the first floor. You may order a drink without much thought, but the one served here is different. The baristas and bartenders have hidden their ingenuity and thought behind them.

TRUNK(BAR)'s pride and joy is the coffee served by barista Yeonjoo Woo. He has devised a way to make your coffee experience more than "just" a cup of coffee for nomadic workers or those who are meeting for business.

The theme of TRUNK(HOTEL) is "Socializing. TRUNK(BAR) also offers drinks based on this belief. For example, based on the concept of "local production for local consumption," the cola served at the restaurant is "SHIBUYA COLA," a local drink named after Shibuya, and the beans used for the coffee are from "Lostro Japan," which also has a store in Tomigaya, Shibuya Ward.

The espresso machine shining in silver behind Yongju is an Italian "La Marzocco," which is well-known to coffee lovers all over the world. Incidentally, there are only a few of the same model in Japan.

LATTE ¥650
The first thing to taste is the most popular, simple latte. The milk and espresso are perfectly balanced, and the mellow flavor will fill your mouth. The delicate latte artwork is another attraction.

CORTADO ¥530
This is a menu item called "cortado," which is not often seen elsewhere. It is made by mixing a small amount of milk with espresso, and the ratio is different from that of a latte. Since there is less milk, the strong espresso flavor can be felt more directly.

SPARKLING BLACK ¥800
Yeonju makes the "Sparkling Black". The drink is a mix of cold brew, the aforementioned SHIBUYA COLA, and espresso, and the unique flavor of the SHIBUYA COLA is well matched with the taste of coffee, making it very easy to drink, but the caffeine punch is outstanding. It is an addictive drink that will keep you coming back for another sip.

DIRTY CHAI ¥600
And what a surprise, we were also served a back-up menu. It is called "Dirty Chai. It is an original drink with espresso added to chai with more milk, and a sprinkle of cinnamon to finish it off. The deepened chai flavor is superb. Please order it.

GLUTEN FREE CIFON CAKE ¥650
Coffee is accompanied by a variety of sweets , not forgetting the sweet treats. Some of the menu items are made with an emphasis on gluten-free products, and we especially recommend the chiffon cake made with the luxurious Japanese green tea powder from "Gen Gen An". It is surprisingly fluffy and has a robust flavor that is hard to believe it is gluten-free.
In addition, they also offer seasonal menu items such as latte brûlée, which is a must-try for all customers. From a drink to wake you up to a break time at 3 o'clock, they are always there to provide you with an incredibly tasty cup of coffee. It is worth going to TRUNK(HOTEL) just for the coffee. Look forward to the "Cocktails" section coming soon!
