“SUBARU. has unveiled a new version of its popular Forester compact SUV at the New York International Auto Show.

Subaru has been attracting renewed attention in recent years, especially in North America, for its high driving performance and safety features. The "Forester," which is positioned as a global strategic model, is a model that boasts stable popularity around the world.

The new Forester is the fifth generation in total. As in the past, the new Forester retains the rugged design that is typical of SUVs. Nine exterior colors are available, including Jasper Green Metallic, a new color exclusive to the Forester.

In-vehicle features include a "driver monitoring system" that detects if the driver is falling asleep or looking away and automatically adjusts the seat position, door mirror angle, and air conditioning settings for each registered driver. This is the first of its kind for all Subaru models.
The car is also the first model to adopt "SUBARU GLOBAL PLATFORM," a system that greatly improves ride comfort. The smoothness and comfort that one feels is overwhelmingly different.

Incidentally, since the new Forester will be equipped with EyeSight, all manual models will be discontinued. It is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in July. Let's wait with bated breath!
