Trail running is a mountain sport activity that has been gaining momentum in recent years. One of the most well-known international races in Japan is theUltra-Trail Mount Fuji(UTMF for short)". The sixth edition of this event will finally open on Friday, April 27.
The UTMF will be held in the spring instead of the fall, and the course has been changed from the traditional one-round Mt. Fuji Kodomo no Kuni (Fuji City) on the Shizuoka Prefecture side and finish at Ooike Park (Fujikawaguchiko Town) on the Yamanashi Prefecture side in a clockwise direction.
In addition to the usual Internet service that allows participants to check their positions and times in real time, a streaming program, "UTMF Broadcasting Department, 50 hours LIVE! This program will allow you to enjoy real-time information on the riders, the course, and the atmosphere of the venue through the program.
The distance is 168 kilometers! The cumulative altitude is 8,100 meters! The time limit is 46 hours! This is a super-duper extreme race that makes too much sense to those who do not run at all. Why don't you take a peek at it as a strong stimulus to open the door to a strange world?
