."QUANT-UThe project, called "The Footprint Project," uses a three-dimensional foot scanner installed in the store to accurately measure and analyze foot movement using sensor-equipped shoes. Based on the data obtained, a 3D printer is used to manufacture silicone midsoles that are optimized for each individual foot.
The silicone midsole is manufactured by a 3D printer in the store based on the measured foot shape and foot movement. The manufacturing process takes only two hours.
The silicone midsole combines cushioning and resilience with excellent durability. The honeycomb shape of the midsole also makes it lightweight.
QUANT-U is the culmination of Echo's 50 years of experience in shoemaking, and finally comes to fruition after nearly two years of development.
