The area around Shibuya Station is changing its face every moment as it undergoes redevelopment. Department stores and fashion buildings stand side by side in this area, which is also the center of youth culture. In particular, Shibuya Park Avenue, which runs from the Seibu Department Store to Yoyogi Park, has been a symbol of Tokyo's young culture since the 1970s, and has always attracted the attention of the world, even as times have changed.
Friday, April 20, along that street.LOUIS VUITTON. A pop-up store has just opened. The first thing that catches the eye is the huge monogram signboard above the store. The neon-colored design is impressive, and surprises visitors.

Upon entering the entrance, visitors are greeted by an adorable giant figure. This is "Vivienne," a character from the "Gifting" collection of stationery and other items released last January. She is the mascot of the store and is used on many products such as bags, pochettes, hats, key chains, and T-shirts.
The store consists of two floors, with the first floor featuring the pre-collection for men's fall/winter 2018, including products exclusive to the pop-up store. The space is decorated with neon-colored monograms from the floor to the walls and ceiling, and is truly a sight to behold.

This pop-up store will be the first to sell items from the Fall/Winter 2018 Men's Pre-Collection in Japan. The collection is characterized by the use of monograms on every item. The use of neon and vivid colors is sublimated into a design that makes you want to casually adopt it, unlike the sublime image you have of monograms.

The items printed with the character "Vivienne" are also eye-catching. The cute atmosphere, which has never been seen in "Louis Vuitton" before, is recommended for both men and women. Regardless of gender, it will add a subtle accent to your everyday look. In addition, a small figure of "Vivienne" is also available. All of the products introduced below are exclusive to the pop-up store. They are only available at this store in Japan.

Boston bag "Keepall Bandoliere 50" ¥261,000+TAX

Shoulder bag "Danube PM" ¥188,000+TAX

Pouch "Zippy Key Ring" ¥59,000+TAX

Knit hat ¥43,000+TAX

Sweatshirt ¥128,000+TAX

Key chain ¥76,000+TAX

PVC Figure ¥245,000+TAX
Even the handrail of the escalator in the center of the store is monogrammed! Even the smallest details give the sense of playfulness that only Louis Vuitton can, and are a delight to visitors.
The second floor is a free installation space with mirrors haphazardly placed. Monitors placed at the four corners of the space allow visitors to enjoy playing with motion displays.
One is that you can draw on the screen by pressing the push button on the spray can toward the monitor. The monograms that color the screen in vivid colors are eye-catching. The second is to enjoy the interplay between your movements and those of "Vivienne" on the monitor. The "Vivienne" moves in sync with your movements, which is very cute. It will be a great experience with friends and family.

In addition, a not-to-be-missed item at this pop-up store is the "Vivienne" figure created by four artists from different genres. The works were designed by Keiichi Tanaami, a painter, Theseus Chan, an art director, Yoshikazu Yamagata, a designer, and Masaho Annoya, an artist . Mr. Tanaami expressed a ray of light emanating from the Buddha's body through "Vivienne," while Mr. Theseus represented "Vivienne" as a pop candy.

This is the largest pop-up store in the city so far, and although it is only open until May 6 (Sun.), it is sure to be a new landmark in Shibuya. Why not take this opportunity to visit with your friends and family?
