Homi Danchi, again! Photographer Keisuke Nagoshi documented three years of one diversity.

Photographer Keisuke Nagoshi's work "Familia Homi Danchi" documents the joys, sorrows, and joys of the residents of the Homi Danchi in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, which is home to a multinational migrant workforce. For more information on the peculiarities of the film's origins, please refer to our previous interview in Huinamu.

What is the extremely peculiar character of photographer Keisuke Nagoshi's new work "Familia"? A complete reenactment of a time when he was talking with fellow photographer Yusuke Yamatani.

At this time, a year and a half after its publication, the Keisuke Nagoshi Photo Exhibition "Familia Homi Danchi" will be held as the first phase of the Tokyo Metropolitan Human Rights Plaza's special exhibition for fiscal year 2008.

Homi Danchi is a multinational public housing complex where people with foreign roots live, including nearly half of the residents who are Brazilian-Brazilians of Japanese descent. This exhibition was planned to give visitors a sense of the conflicts and difficulties that arise when diverse people live together, as well as hints on how to overcome these difficulties.

There will probably be a variety of opinions about this work, which depicts the unique aspects of the Homi complex, and about this exhibition. However, I believe that this exhibition will provide a good opportunity for us to take a fresh look at the word "diversity," which we have been hearing a lot about recently.
