From April 27 (Fri), JOURNAL STANDARD relume will release T-shirts in collaboration with Akira Kobayashi, a leading Japanese photographer, at all JOURNAL STANDARD relume stores. In conjunction with this release, a POP-UP event will be held at the JOURNAL STANDARD relume Omotesando store.
In addition to the collaboration T-shirts, Kobayashi's book "Back On The Highway," published last year, and his photographs will be on display and for sale at this POP-UP event.

The legendary book "ON THE ROAD" was written in just three weeks, based on his travels across the continental United States and his encounters with many different people. Akira Kobayashi, a photographer who encountered and admired this book, went to California by himself in 1969, and for six years until 1974, he traveled across the continental United States, mainly to Venice Beach, covering 6,000 miles round trip, and captured his wanderings with his camera.
In addition to the photographs, the T-shirts are printed with Kobayashi's handwritten text describing his thoughts and feelings. Please pick one up at a store near you. We are sure that you will be able to feel an America that we do not know.
