In the recent bag trend where bags that can be used for both on and off duty are on the rise, [Joon] is renowned as a leading messenger bag manufacturer.CHROMEThe "WELTERWEIGHT" collection is packed with features for the urban cyclist.
The greatest feature of this collection is its lightness. The outer wall is made of 500 x 200 denier nylon and the inner wall is made of 300 denier tarpaulin, and you will be surprised at how light it is when you pick it up. Incidentally, most Chrome products use tough 1,050-denier nylon for the outer wall and 1,000-denier tarpaulin for the inner wall. The thicker the material, the tougher it is, but the weight increases in proportion to the thickness, which is also a bottleneck. In this sense, the "Welterweight" collection may be considered a breakthrough.

The brand's first ever aluminum buckle is also not to be missed. The quick-release seatbelt buckle is the symbol of Chrome. It all started when the brand was founded with a single sewing machine and was looking for the best parts for carrying a messenger bag when it acquired a brass buckle from an abandoned car lot. Over the next 20 years, the steel buckle, which has been improved over the years, has gained the support of messengers and urban cyclists around the world due to its sturdiness. For this collection, we worked with designers and factories to develop an aluminum buckle. Compared to steel buckles, aluminum buckles are 501 TP10T lighter, yet robust enough to withstand load tests.

And since it uses reflectors made of TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), a material used in various products from lifeboats to cell phone accessories, it is important to note that it shows different looks in daytime and nighttime. The charcoal gray color is fine for business use during the day, while at night it reflects light and enhances visibility.
The "Welterweight" collection successfully reduces weight by using different materials while maintaining the ruggedness typical of "CHROME" bags. We want city dwellers to carry these bags as they dash through the city, packing only their trusty gear. This is the kind of urban dweller we want to see carrying these bags on their backs.
