A pop-up store and exhibition of "LURKING CLASS" by California-based illustrator SKETCHY TANK will be held at "OPEN STUDIO," a gallery and pop-up space attached to the "Freaks Store Shibuya" from Saturday, May 26 to Sunday, June 10. The exhibition will be held from May 26 (Sat) to June 10 (Sun).
Sketch Tank's designs feature dirty, junky visuals inspired by master tattoo artist Mike Giant and the skateboarding culture of the 1980s.
The brand has collaborated with brands that support the American street scene, such as Vans, Electric, Stance, and Union, and has made a name for itself in the world.
This event will feature 21 pieces of new artwork, as well as a limited number of deadstock numbered imprinted silkscreen art for sale. This is also an excellent opportunity to see the full lineup of items.
The launch party, open to all, will be held on Friday, May 25, and will include free tattoos, a striptease show, and an art exhibit, so be sure to attend. (*Free tattoos are by lottery and you will be asked to fill out a consent form. Please understand in advance.)
