An eyewear store born out of Araoka Eyeglasses, an optical store established in 1940.BlincElder_ARAOKAGANKYO". The store, known for its unique selection, will now release new sunglasses from its original model "Elder_ARAOKAGANKYO.
Each ¥39,000+TAX
These sunglasses were designed by space and product designer Kimikazu Futamata, who is active both in Japan and abroad. They are based on a pair of glasses called "Browline," which the store's founder, Hidekichi Araoka, loved all his life. The frames have a yellowish finish as if aged. The acetate material used is made by "Takiron Roland", a company with high purity, hardness, and little deterioration over time. Sunglasses are often taken in and out, so this kind of sturdiness is an important point.
The lenses are available in two colors: smoked green and brown. The smoke green lens absorbs all ultraviolet and infrared rays, making the color more familiar to the human eye. The brown lens is said to convert bluish scenery in the shade or on cloudy days into a warm, natural look.
On the inside of the temples is a logo design by Rikako Nagashima, who is active in various genres based on graphic design.
It will go on sale at Blink Gaienmae and Blink Base from June 1 (Fri.). Quantities are limited, so be quick if you want to get your hands on one.
