The World Cup will finally begin in Russia on June 14. A project to commemorate this tournament isLOUIS VUITTONThe first was presented by the This will be the third time the brand has participated in the World Cup, following South Africa in 2010 and Brazil in 2002.
First up is the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Travel Case. The case that holds the trophy presented to the winning country was commissioned by FIFA and created in an atelier in the suburbs of Paris. The heavy design made of titanium with a monogram is impressive. It will be unveiled during the opening match and the final match on July 15.
A soccer ball trunk, created in conjunction with FIFA and adidas, also appears, containing 13 balls used in World Cup matches since the 1970s, as well as a soccer ball created by Louis Vuitton. The design is said to be based on the brand's traditional wardrobe trunk.
The last is the LOUIS VUITTON 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP™ OFFICIAL LICENSED PRODUCT COLLECTION, a commemorative World Cup product. Featuring a unique design reminiscent of a soccer ball, the lineup includes two types of bags and small leather goods. The iconic "L.V" initials are the same as those used on the trunk of Gaston-Louis Vuitton, the third generation head of the brand. It also features the "Louis Vuitton 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™" logo.
