The legendary book "ON THE ROAD" was written in just three weeks, based on his travels across the continental United States and his encounters with many different people. Akira Kobayashi, a photographer who encountered and admired this book, went to California alone in 1969, and for six years until 1974, he traveled across the continental United States, mainly to Venice Beach, covering approximately 6,000 miles round trip, capturing his wanderings with his camera.
A limited-time fair focusing on Kobayashi's book "Back On The Highway," published last year, is currently being held at the "Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore No. 3, 2F Music Floor.
. 1969 was the year of the legendary Woodstock Festival. The new culture created by the youth of America on this occasion was the beginning of a new definition of all genres: academia, art, literature, theater, music, film, and people's lives and lifestyles.
