The first models released were characterized by an approach that brought out the original appeal of Birkenstock's standard models, such as changing the length of the belt on the "Arizona" and "Boston" models and changing the fabric to fur.
For the second edition, the "Rotterdam" velcro sandal and the "Rotterhiker" boot were reimagined as the base of the new lineup. The lineup also includes the "Arizona" edged with shaggy suede.
While continuing the technique of rearranging the original design, this second version shows a bolder design makeover that is more Rick Owens-like.
They will be available at Birkenstock's online store and Rick Owens' directly-managed stores in December. New information will be updated as needed, so let's wait with baited breath.
