MARKAWARE(MARKAWARE)" is a brand that focuses on thorough craftsmanship from material selection to sewing and processing. An event to enjoy organic wool flannel, a fabric the brand uses extensively every fall and winter season, will be held at PARKING on September 29 (Sat.) and 30 (Sun.).
Organic wool flannel, which is exceptionally soft to the touch, is processed at a certified organic mill in Uruguay from sheep's wool raised without pesticides in the vast pastures of Argentina. It is then tailored at a spinning mill in Miyazaki Prefecture and carefully woven on vintage weaving machines in Bishu. Finally, the fabric is brought to a factory in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture, that has been in operation since the Meiji era (1868-1912), where it is finished with a flannel finish. It is a superb fabric that brings together carefully selected raw materials and venerable Japanese techniques.
