The raw materials used for its superior heat retention and humidity control are the raw wool of merino sheep raised on a contract farm 1,800 meters above sea level in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. The high breathability of the fine wool keeps the sheep's body temperature at an appropriate level in the summer, when temperatures can reach as high as 35 degrees Celsius, while the thick layer of wool protects them in the winter from the cold of minus 20 degrees Celsius.
