The same hardcore thrash crossover band from Venice Beach, Los Angeles, as NO MERCY and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES that represented the skate rock scene in the 1980s.Excel (EXCEL)will hold its first Japan tour starting in December.
EXCEL is deeply involved with DOGTOWN, the Los Angeles graffiti art scene, and street culture. This time, will hold a skate event "BRUTAL SLAP" and an art show "EXCEL Visual archive" in parallel with his visit to Japan, and many other exciting events are planned.
The skate event will feature a contest with 24 pre-entrants (tentative), as well as a jam session with guest rider Shintaro Maruyama and invited domestic top amateurs and pros.
The art show will be held at "RVCA SHIBUYA" and will feature visuals taken from EXCEL's photozine "EXCEL 1979-1992" which was published in 2017 by NY PAPER WORK NYC and sold out immediately, as well as In addition, photocopied flyers, live photos of in clubs and garages, and graffiti reflected in snapshots will be exhibited, creating a space where visitors can feel the scene of the 80s and 90s.
