One of Japan's largest summer festivals celebrating surf culture is calledGREENROOM FESTIVAL." Thanks to its easy accessibility from the city and the summer festival boom, it has grown into a festival that is well-known to all culture lovers. The May 25 (Sat.) and 26 (Sun.) festival is just around the corner.

The Western music of the new and old, including Fishbone, Tom Misch, Leon Bridges, Arrow Black, and Tommy Guerrero, will be joined by a superb lineup of Japanese musicians playing good music, including Chara, Ego Rappin, Original Love, Narvarich, Yogi New Waves, and many more. Thirteen additional DJs, including Shuya Okino (Kyoto Jazz Massive/Kyoto Jazz Sextet), Kan Takagi & K.U.D.O (MAJOR FORCE), and DJ HASEBE, have been confirmed as finalists. Also, a little-known but sure to be fun to visit are the booths that focus on art and films related to surf culture. The stalls located between the red brick warehouses, where you can enjoy workshops and other events, are a staple of the GREENROOM FESTIVAL, and it is also fun to visit the various booths.
