Hawaii was chosen as the stage for the total lineup, which includes belts and bags. Of particular note are the Hawaiian shirts and fatigues jackets.
The Hawaiian shirt faithfully reproduces Hawaiian details of yesteryear, such as the yoke slapped from behind and classic shell buttons. The boxy silhouette with dropped shoulders is modern just by throwing it on.
The Fatigue Jacket is based on the M-43 (U.S. Army HBT jacket), with large pockets on the chest and buttons on the back of the collar where the hood used to be attached, all carefully crafted.
The most impressive feature is that they all feature textiles inspired by vintage Hawaiian shirts. Perhaps it is the use of color, but the prints have a strong presence that blends in with the clothes you have on hand, creating a truly "town-use" finish. Pants and shorts in the same pattern are also available, so you can dress up your outfit with them.
This is a collection that stirs the heartstrings of Daisuke Ohana, a designer who began his career in vintage clothing.
