Daniel Arsham is a contemporary artist born in 1980 in Ohio, USA. He has presented his work in a variety of forms, including three-dimensional art with a strong impact that makes the viewer feel somewhat uncomfortable when looking at his work, paintings, and stage design.
This time, Arsham isRIMOWA. in collaboration with the The sculpture, entitled "Illoaded Suitcases," will be available in a limited edition of 500 pieces worldwide .
Like his series of works he calls "Future Relic," this piece is inspired by everyday items excavated from a future dystopia (the underworld). The shape of the tattered attache case, rendered in white, gives it a somewhat eerie atmosphere.
The inspiration was a vintage "Classic Attache" suitcase from " Rimowa ". The case in which the work itself is housed is a reissue of that case, which is also a key point.
The product will go on sale on Saturday, May 18. It will be available at the Ginza 7-chome, Omotesando, and Shinsaibashi stores of the Rimowa Store, as well as on Arsham's official website.
This is truly a one-of-a-kind item and comes with an edition number. If you are at all interested, we recommend that you check it out as soon as possible. You may not have time to hesitate.
