Have you heard of sankara, a group consisting of rapper Toss and vocalist Ryo? Both of them spent their childhoods overseas and were exposed to authentic hip-hop and R&B, making them up-coming artists with world-class music.

Announced at the same time as the music video you see, and becoming a hot topic among early-earning listeners, is the first EP "BUD" to be released on June 5 (Wed.). Tower Records, a leading record store, will release a special limited edition disc with a limited jacket drawn by Misaki Tanaka.
The label will also hold a double release party with Opus Inn, a unit from Kobe, in Osaka and Tokyo. On June 21 (Fri.), the first day of the party at Osaka's CONPASS, the indoor festival "ROOM" will support the event, and the two groups will perform a special set together.
The Tokyo edition, to be held on Tuesday, June 25 at WALL & WALL, will feature Blue Vintage, who is associated with them, as well as AAAMYYYY, Kohei Ando, ermhoi, and other gorgeous special guests. Tickets are available from the following play guides.
We cannot take our eyes off sankara, whose performances are expected to renew the universality of pop songs.
