May 24, , Tokyo.Giorgio ArmaniA fashion show was held at the Tokyo National Museum's Hyokeikan in Ueno, Tokyo. The event took place in the Hyokeikan building of the Tokyo National Museum in Ueno, a historic building established in 1900 to commemorate the wedding of the Crown Prince (later Emperor Taisho). The Cruise Collection was presented for the first time in a show format at this symbol of Western-style architecture.
The elegant creations that appeared on the runway are typical of Giorgio Armani, and you don't even have to touch them to recognize them. A wide range of styles from formal to casual appeared on the runway, including relaxed, unconstrained suits that spoke volumes about the brand. The dark and neutral colors worn by the models radiated an indescribable beauty, and the collection was expanded one after another with a mix of washed items, which is the brand's forte. The models' designs, which were boldly out of step with trends, were accented with vivid-colored garments in places, strongly impressing the viewers with Armani's worldview.
A total of 99 models from Japan and abroad, including Ai Tominaga and UTA, were used. A total of 124 looks were presented. In the finale, Giorgio Armani himself made his first visit to Japan in 12 years, waving his hands in the air. The audience responded with applause to the figure who continues to lead the fashion world.
About 700 people attended the show, which was held twice at the same location. The atmosphere of the building and the clothes matched beautifully, and the show was so extravagant that it was as if one were watching it in its home country of Italy.
