Un Son Doux's debut album "3" was recently released. The unit, which chose the French name "Un Son Doux" meaning "sweet music," consists of two members: Chiharu Konno, a well-known actress (vocals), and Jonathan DGX, a French musician living in Tokyo (vocals/production). Jonathan DGX (vocals/production), a French musician living in Tokyo.
The musical world of this unit is characterized by its spirituality and the silence of its sound. Floating backing tracks, distinctive distorted EG solos, while reverbed EG arpeggios and transparent string synths create a unique musical world, against which Chiharu Konno's and Jonathan DGX's vocals weave.
Composed by Jonathan DGX, the music inspired Chiharu Konno to create the world of lyrics and Japanese lyrics, which were then translated into English or French by Jonathan. Some of the songs are sweet, some are harsh, and the lyrics incorporate the creative themes that Chiharu Konno has been inputting as a singer, delving deeper into the world of the songs. Last March, a four-song mini-album was released on iTunes, Spotify, and apple music. After that, they started working on an album, and "3" is the result of one year's effort to explore the world of their songs.
This debut album has many meanings, such as "3," which represents the trinity of soul, spirit, and body; the number "3," which is said to represent beauty, joy, and creation; and "3," as expressed by An Sung Do. Please give it a listen.
