PALLADIUM" was founded in France in 1920 as a manufacturer of aircraft tires. As demand for tires declined after World War II, the company began manufacturing sturdy canvas boots in 1947, taking advantage of its expertise in rubber and canvas. After receiving a request from the French military to create comfortable and durable shoes for use in the tropics, the company began developing boots with cotton canvas uppers and rubber soles, creating the prototype for the "Pampa" series, which has become a brand icon. The prototype for the now iconic "Pampa" series was born.
WP stands for Water Proof. The outsole is made of ultra-lightweight LITE-TECH, realizing an amazing lightness. Non-absorbent mesh material is used on the outside, making it both waterproof and breathable. The upper seams are also treated with tape for a completely waterproof pair.
