An interesting art magazine is about to be launched. It is called "MUEEN. The magazine will be produced by Makiko Yamamoto, an illustrator, art director, and nightly DJ. Each issue will feature a guest artist and will be planned and organized together.

The first guest artist isifax! Recently, he has been active in a wide range of fields, such as galleries, ocean/mountain, weddings and funerals, photo shoots, etc., with his spatial expression that fuses neon signs and plants. The theme of this issue is "RAINBOW," and the consistent seven-color glowing paper throughout the entire issue is visually stimulating.
It also features the work of collage artist pedro naoki. The work of pedro naoki, a collage artist, is also included.
The fashion pages are also substantial. Director Makiko Yamamoto, model Mari Shuku, and photographer Tetsuro Hayashi create a colorful and fancy finish.
In addition, more than 30 artists curated byifax! and Yamamoto were commissioned to create pages. The colorful artists include collage artist pedro naoki; Mari Shuku, who has the unusual title of model and public bathhouse keeper; illustrator Tatsuya Koiso, who works for various magazines; food researcher Nanpu Shokudo, who does everything related to food; photographer Takako Noel, who takes fantastic and transparent photographs; and many more. Some of the works are by high school students attending art school, the youngest being 3 years old and the oldest 98 years old, making for a truly wide range of artists regardless of age or fame.
To celebrate the launch of this new art magazine, a pop-up and group exhibition will be held at "Tokyo Culture by BEAMS" on the 4th floor of BEAMS Japan in Shinjuku from October 25. Some of the works featured in the magazine will be exhibited, and participating artists will sell their works, as well as secondhand books selected by "Cow Books" in Nakameguro, Tokyo. Of course, "MUEEN" will also be available there. The exhibition period is not long at all (10 days), so we strongly recommend that you make a firm schedule so that you do not miss it.
