A market event that attracts 10,000 people to a fishing port in Wakayama .

Recently, I have been receiving an increasing number of comments from people outside of Wakayama Prefecture that "Wakayama looks kind of fun. One of the reasons for this is the existence of "ARCADE PROJECT," a creative team in Wakayama.

The "Arcade Project" was launched in 2015 with the common desire to "create an ideal town where the next generation would want to live. One of its representative projects is the market event "Arcade," which is being held for two days on November 2 and 3.

The venue for the past three years was the plaza in front of JR Kainan Station in the northern part of Wakayama Prefecture, but the concept of the "Arcade Project" activity, "Let's create an ideal town where the next generation will want to live," targets all of Wakayama Prefecture. With a desire to venture out to other areas, not just the northern part of the prefecture, it was decided to hold the event at a fishing port in the town of Nachikatsuura in the southern part of the prefecture for the next three years, starting this year.

In addition to 50-60 stores selling food, drink, and goods (popular stores from all over Wakayama as well as from outside the prefecture), there will also be movies, live performances, workshops, and more.
