The "Nami no Ue Festival" offers a taste of Okinawa's local street culture with all five senses. Last year's inaugural event was a great success, attracting many visitors. . The festival will be held for two days from November 23 to 24 at "Uminoue Uzumira Park," a spot with a spectacular view of the sunset, located about 10 minutes by car from Naha Airport and Naha Kokusai-dori Avenue.

The "Nami no Ue Festival 2019" consists of five stages set up on the cape jutting out on both sides of the island, one on the left (LEFT WING) at UMISORA PARK, one on the right (RIGHT WING) at COZY BEACH, and one in the free area (CENTER BACK) under the underwater road overpass. Of course, artists are invited from inside and outside of the prefecture, including bands, rappers, and DJs active in various fields such as hip-hop, reggae, pop, rock, and folk music.

In the free area of the venue, the "Namimeshi Grand Prix," a competition among restaurants in the prefecture, and the "Market Caravan," a gathering of popular local restaurants in Okinawa, will be held at the same time. In addition, the "Last Summer Jam" dance battle competition, which was popular last year, the "King of Kings Okinawa" rap competition stage, and the "Champloo Game" where BMX riders from all over Japan gather will be held at the same venue, bringing together music, sports, and other aspects of Okinawa's ongoing street culture. The event will be further enlivened by the gathering of ongoing Okinawan street culture, including music and sports.
