With the Olympics just around the corner, Tokyo in 2020 will be changing at a dizzying pace.
It is no exaggeration to say that this city, where various ethnic groups come and go and daily updates are being made, is the most remarkable place in the world today.
Reebok is launching a new project called "Reebok eightyone," which will take a bird's-eye view of the huge city of Tokyo.
Waving the tact is Kohei Ohkita, designer of the "VINL ARCHIVE" brand.
The name "Reebok Eighty-One" was borrowed from the Japanese dialing code "+81" for international calls.
In addition to apparel featuring color combinations, materials, and silhouettes that have never before been seen in Reebok, the collection will also include sneakers such as the signature Instapump Fury and Jig Kineticas.
Looking back on past efforts by Ohkita and Reebok, expectations are naturally high since they have created innovative designs such as Club C and Daytona DMX that are not limited to fashion or sports.
The release date is Friday, February 28. Information on the items will be released at a later date.
And HOUYHNHNM is preparing a feature article on this special project, so stay tuned for that as well!
