Hero stories in which evil is defeated with justice are good, but where does the story end when evil is confronted with evil? The movie "The Tale of the Evil One" (directed by Lee Won-tae) is a film about a fierce battle between yakuza, cops, and killers that takes place around a mysterious murder.

One night, Jang Dong-soo, the ferocious gang leader, is stabbed to death by an unknown assailant. Miraculously, Dong-su survives, but he suspects that the gang he is in conflict with is behind it, and sets out to find the culprit with the help of his crew. Meanwhile, Detective Jung, a rough and tumble detective who is not afraid to resort to violent means, is assigned to the investigation. He is convinced that the case is the result of a series of indiscriminate murders, of which no one in the world has yet been aware, and he stalks Dong-su in search of clues. Dong-su and Detective Chung try to catch the murderer with their own hands, while displaying mutual hostility. However, they realize that they need each other's information in order to outsmart the cunning murderer, and they end up fighting together to hunt him down.

After viewing the film, this man's face will surely be stuck in your memory. Ma Dong-suk plays the role of Jang Dong-su, the leader of the largest gang in the area. His unmistakable dignity and huge body make even the audience shudder as they look through the screen. His sharp eyes and mannerisms, as if he can see through everything, make the film even more tense.

The intense action scenes are the main highlight of the film. The characters' characterization is reflected in their respective action styles, which are also well portrayed.
