Recently, as people spend more and more time at home, interest in the "virtual" has been growing rapidly. The most notable examples include the unprecedented boom in "Animal Crossing" and the virtual live performance by Travis Scott in the popular battle royale game "Fortnite".
In this context, rapper kZm, who has been creating a buzz with his second album "DISTORTION" released in April, will hold a virtual live "VIRTUAL DISTORTION" using the dedicated "kZm LIVE VARP" application for three days only from July 31 (Fri.) to August 2 (Sun.).
This project, fully backed by NIKE and in collaboration with the creative collective "PARTY," will recreate the world of "DISTORTION" by combining 3D scanned avatars, motion capture technology, and CG images, and will be followed by a live performance in this virtual space. A live performance will be held in this virtual space.
In addition to kZm, the performance will feature Yojiro Noda of "Radwimps," BIM, LEX, and many other artists who have participated as guest artists on previous albums. More guests are scheduled to join in the future, so be sure to keep an eye out for them.
In addition, limited edition items by graphic artist VERDY and "YouthQuake," a close friend of kZm, will be sold at the virtual live event.
Details have not been revealed, but there will be a special box giveaway limited to 1,000 people, so let's wait for an update on the information for now. Of course, don't forget about the new era of live performances that kZm will be launching.
