Located in Naka-Meguro, "BRICK & MORTARThe third exhibition of SMALL GALLERY, "Bilogue," which is conducted irregularly by "SMALL GALLERY," will be held on January 24, ( Tue, ).
As an ikebana professor, he teaches ikebana classes and runs a flower store calledTumbler & FLOWERSBilogue" is a two-person exhibition by Toru Watarai, who runs "Bilogue" and Shu Murakami, art director and founder of "Brick and Mortar".
The two artists, who have known each other for some time, have been influenced by each other's works, and the exhibition will feature ikebana and paintings that are the result of their dialogues, which were created as if improvised.
On Saturday, January 27, we will welcome Mr. Watarai for an ikebana class. Participants will choose ikebana materials and vessels, then arrange and correct their ikebana work. Vases can be selected from amabro's original "KOTSUBO" vases.
The world of contemporary ikebana flowers is something that beginners and inexperienced ikebana practitioners alike should experience. A reception will be held on the same day, so please take this opportunity to join us.

Toru Watarai
Ikebana professor and owner of Tumbler & Flowers, an ikebana school and flower store.
After building a career as a writer/editor for men's fashion magazines and women's information magazines, he opened "Tumbler & FLOWERS" in 2012.
Through ikebana lessons and various workshops, she introduces tips and ideas for living with flowers.
They also do flower arrangements for event venues, store displays, pop-up stores, etc.

Shu Murakami
Born in 1975. While a student at Kobe Design University, he encountered silkscreening and studied illustration and graphic design.
After graduating from the same university, he began his creative work and also established the design firm AMDR, where he worked as an art director.
He later established Murakami Art Co., Ltd. and supervised the company's original brand "amabro".
BRICK & MORTAR, a lifestyle select store, opened in March 2014, and GIVING STORE, a baby gift select store, opened in August 2016.
