Until his death in 2006, he was known as "the hardest working man in show business" and was said to have been thinking about his work and his next concert until the very end. In Japan, "Geroppa! In Japan, JB's popularity was synonymous with "Geloppa!" and he became a popular figure among Japanese audiences, but many Japanese musicians have also professed their "love for JB," including Ryo Nakata ( Osaka Monorail ) and Kenta Hamano ( Zainichi Funk ).
