Legendary producer J Dilla was only 32 years old when he passed away, and in his more than 30 years of life, "Welcome 2" and "Detroit" were the albums that made him a musical force to be reckoned with. Detroit" is without a doubt the album that cemented his musical status in his brief 30-plus years of life.

. 20 years have passed since the release of the classic album. And next February, 25 years after his death, "Welcome 2 Detroit" will be revived in an impressive box set of 12 7" discs.

Welcome 2 Detroit" features guests such as Frank n' Dunk, Elzie, Fat Cat, and other well-known rappers, and is a Dilla-style take on a wide variety of genres.
