Textiles from Baiboré revolutionize Porter's bags. This collaboration celebrates the 85th anniversary of Yoshida Kaban.

Since its establishment in 1935, Yoshida Kaban has been making bags made in Japan. To commemorate its 85th anniversary on March 10 last year, the company has launched a number of collaborations over the past year.

The tag-team with "BYBORRE," a textile factory based in Amsterdam, Holland, that develops and designs fabrics, is part of this effort. The new collection will feature special bags made of cutting-edge materials.

The lineup includes six types of bags, ranging from basic shapes such as backpacks, shoulder bags, and waist bags, to smaller ones such as pouches and drawstring effect bags.

All of them are navy in color with the word "PORTER" knitted in orange, showing the high level of technical skill of the two companies. The main materials used are PORTER's original nylon bonding fabric and "AO3™," a knit made of recycled polyester 100% yarn, which symbolizes "Vyborre.

Some people may be concerned about the durability of knitwear. However, "AO3™" has a three-layer structure, and the weft between the front and back is strongly compressed to achieve an unparalleled density for a knit fabric. Yet, the expressive drape of the fabric is also appealing.
