Carbon plates have taken the running scene by storm in recent years. The lightweight and highly resilient plate has captivated many runners seeking speed, and is now recognized by a wide range of people as a material used by manufacturers in their racing shoes. Trail running shoes equipped with such a carbon plate will finally be released by The North Face.

Its name is Flight VECTIV™.

The new model was developed in conjunction with global athletes. The upper is made of an engineered knit with an excellent fit, and the two-layer compression-molded midsole has a rocker structure that allows for smooth foot movement. The built-in 3D carbon plate allows for excellent stability while suppressing lateral motion blur.

The biodegradable material-based Surface Control™ rubber provides a precise grip in all conditions for efficient running, even in the harshest trail running conditions.

The launch also coincides with the simultaneous release of two plated models in different ranges: the "VECTIV™ Infinite" with 3D Pebax® plates and the "VECTIV™ Enduris" with 3D TPU plates.
