RAF SIMONS has launched a new footwear line called "Raf Simons (Runner)" in the fall of 2020.
The theme for this season's collection is "SOLOR YOUTH. It is a coined word that combines Ruff's love of science fiction and youth culture. Another highlight of the season was the "Raf Simons (runner)" collection, which fully expressed Raf's taste for damaged knitwear and polo coats covered with silver in key areas.
The "Orion," with its padding reminiscent of an alien invading the body and writhing on the skin, or the "Cylon-21," with its replaceable plate set into the heel. There was definitely a futuristic flavor to these collections, which were both low-tech and high-tech.
Raf is known for his work with "adidas by Raf Simons," which has teamed up with "adidas," but when it comes to sneaker design work, he is a step or two ahead of the pack.
Like the models mentioned above, Raf Simons (a runner) has named his models after words that science fiction enthusiasts will recognize: Cylon, Solaris, 2001... .
