RAMDOM CRAZE," a solo exhibition by graphic artist Kousuke Shimizu, is being held at B GALLERY in BEAMS JAPAN in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
Kousuke Shimizu's works are created using a variety of handwork techniques, including collage, silkscreen, illustration, and sculpture, but what is consistently present in his work is a sense of pop and a sense of venom.
Eerie yet cute" is the artist's comment. Charming yet dark, cute yet crazy, her works have been exhibited in Tokyo, Osaka, Berlin, and other cities, and she is energetically expanding her field of activity, having gained the support of the fashion scene and advertising industry both in Japan and abroad.
. This exhibition is his first solo exhibition in about three years. On display will be illustrations reminiscent of animation, as well as semi-3-dimensional works such as lamps and sofas made from original fabrics.
In addition to the publication of "CHAOTIC DISCORD 2," a 100-page collection of his works, "MASHUP DOLLS," a collection of disassembled and reconstructed plush toys and figures, and original merchandise from this exhibition will also be available.
. I think you can get a sense of the breadth of expression and blurriness of the work from the images presented here alone.
There are only a few days left until the end of the exhibition . Please visit the exhibition.
