A popular singer-songwriter with a style that doesn't fit into any mold or fit in,Satoko Shibata. The playful melodies and witty lyrics are inclusive and embrace everyone , young and old.
She will be releasing a Blu-ray video of her live performance last year, and will be holding a one-man live concert to commemorate the event.
Her bi-monthly "Jimbocho Hitori Bokuchi" (Jimbocho Alone), a one-woman live performance project, was cancelled after COVID-19, but was held last year in the form of an online event, with 13 performances in 12 locations.
The "12 online venues" were in a format in which photos of each location were projected in the background and Mr. Shibata sang to fans in that location (viewers from other locations were also able to view the photos). The performances were all a great success, with some of the performances being staged in a way that is typical of Mr. Shibata, who is majoring in visual arts.
A Blu-ray video recording of the complete performance at Otemachi Mitsui Hall in Tokyo (with audience) will be released on October 6 (Wed.). In addition, to commemorate the event, a one-man live concert, "Satoko Shibata's Hitoribetsu '21" will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2012.
The Blu-ray contains all 27 songs, including the Chikyuu performance as well as rare and unreleased latest songs from the first album "Shibata Satoko Island", which can be considered as the all-time best. Furthermore, it is a complete preservation disc with high sound and image quality, taking full advantage of the live mix by FOH's Dub Master X. .
In addition, if you make a reservation at a participating store by August 31 (Tue.), a zine "Satoko Shibata from the Basics" will be included. It is a 24-page zine that includes a half-life of Ms. Shibata from her birth to the present, disk reviews by a group of distinguished authors with close ties to her, a dialogue +@, and much more (subject to change).
