What is outerwear that adapts and changes with various environments and values? The new project "DESCENTE CONNECT" has begun.

DESCENT has gone beyond the boundaries of a sports manufacturer, and in recent years has strengthened its ties with fashion. DESCENT ALLTERRAIN, with its "Mizusawa Down," and DESCENT PAUSE, derived from it, have been introduced to the market and are gaining new fans.

DESCENTE has launched a new project, DESCENTE CONNECT. Please take a look at the statement first.

The project proposed in this project is an outerwear that can be customized according to weather, temperature, and mood. What this means is that one outerwear is composed of three units, and the units with different functions, colors, and materials can be easily interchanged using zippers.

In the first phase, "CONNECT × MIZUSAWA DOWN", three types of "MIZUSAWA DOWN" with a unit structure, are presented. The Mountaineer, a high-spec model within the Mizusawa Down line, has been divided into the Center Unit, Shoulder Unit, and Lumber Unit and made into "CONNECT" versions.

Each of these three models is limited to 50 pieces made to order. The order-taking event in Tokyo has already ended, but there is still a chance to see the actual items at select stores in Gunma and Tochigi. For details, please see the information at the end of this article .

In conjunction with the launch of DESCENTE CONNECT, a fashion visual was also unveiled. Featuring 10 people of different professions and ages, including a farmer, a couple, a model, a parent and child, a business owner, a skier, and a designer, the visual shows how one outerwear piece can adapt to different environments and values, changing its shape, style, and transformation. Among these visuals is Mr. Nishino of "NEET," a familiar face to HOUYHNHNM's readers.

Descente has launched a project that it is fully prepared to launch. In the second phase of the project, Descente plans to release an "active shell jacket. We can't wait to see how this project develops with each passing season.
