This season, DRIES VAN NOTEN revisited its ethereal items under the theme of "clothes for today's era.
In the outerwear lineup, it was the trench coat that particularly caught the eye.
Epaulettes , sleeve straps , inverted pleats . The coat has all the major specifications of a trench coat, yet when finished, it is minimalist and clean, giving it a look that is unmistakably Dries Van Noten. It has the look and feel of a Dries Van Noten coat. This is probably the result of the compact pattern and the lightweight texture of cotton blended with polyester and nylon.
A trench coat of the same design and pattern, but in a thicker wool dyed in dark brown, is also hard to throw away. It would be good to match it with a low-gauge knit or heavy-weight denim that will not lose to the coat's presence.
The minimalist Chester coat is another standout piece. Made of lightly padded wool with very thin padding on the shoulders, it is the perfect finishing touch for an on-style look.
