Starting on Friday, July 8, two events will be held at Tomorrowland Shibuya, a select store that offers a wide range of casual yet classy items.
The first is a pop-up dealing with eyewear.
From July 8 (Fri.) to 10 (Sun.), "FRE'QUENCE," a Sapporo eyewear specialty store that deals exclusively in vintage deadstocks, will appear in the same store. About 200 kinds of rare deadstocks from 1940s to 1980s, mainly from France, England, and Italy, have been gathered. Please come and try the vintage eyewear with an authentic atmosphere not found in modern eyewear.
It is not only vintage eyewear. The charm of French vintage eyewear is that it is classic yet elegant, and has an originality that can be called an art piece. In the words of the creator, "It is very difficult to obtain the same pair of eyewear as a dead stock, as they were very rare at that time. Considering the physical and cost aspects, we did not blindly try to reproduce the original, but rather, we understood the high design quality and essence of French vintage, where the only modernizing point is the size, and expressed it with respect". The price range is said to be from ¥50,000 to ¥400,000.
And one more thing, the autumn/winter collection will start up as early as July 8 (Fri.) only at the Tomorrowland Shibuya flagship store.
Although it is well ahead of the summer season, you may say, "The best time to enjoy fashion is in the fall and winter. This is your chance to be among the first to see the new season's collections and dream up your fall/winter styling before the stores open nationwide. Please feel free to drop by and be prepared for anything. Oh, and don't forget to vote in the House of Councillors election!
